NEWS ITEM: Sen. Roland Burris, D-Ill. said, "A public option must be a central component of any health insurance reform legislation. I will vote against any plan that doesn't include a public option," and then voted, along with every Democrat in the Senate, for the bill that doesn't include any mention whatsoever of the public option.
He explained his reasoning for flip-flopping to the Associated Press: "We don't want to get caught up in language."
